Town Council community funding used to create mastectomy cushions
HME Residents Association recently applied to Prescot Town Council for community funding of £500 to enable them to produce mastectomy cushions for breast cancer patients within the local area.
The association are not only helping to support local breast cancer patients but they are also enabling residents within Prescot to come together to put their sewing skills to good use and help to reduce social isolation by giving the group a focus.
Here are some photographs of the group working on the cushions and the finished product.
